Uniplaces Raises $24M In Series A Funding From Atomico And Angels
Today UniPlaces announced that it has raised a $24 million Series A funding led by Atomico.The round includes existing investors Octopus Ventures and Shilling Capital Partners, and co-investor Caixa Capital. The angel investors backing the round include the founders from Trivago, King.com, Klarna, Supercell, Albion, among others. New angel investors join earlier Angel investor and founder of Zoopla, Alex Chesterman.
Uniplaces Gets $3.5M To Grow Its Student Accommodation Platform In Europe
Uniplaces, a U.K. startup founded back in 2012 which runs an online booking platform focused on student accommodation, has pulled in £2.2 million ($3.5 million) in Series A funding. The round was led by prior investor Octopus Investments, which put £700,000 into Uniplaces last November.
UNITE partners with Uniplaces to target international students in London
Uniplaces has announced a new partnership with UNITE, the UK’s leading developer and manager of student accommodation. Around half of UNITE’s direct let customers are from outside the UK and, with this partnership, UNITE hopes to maintain the number of bookings coming from international students and continue the high occupancy of its London portfolio.

Uniplaces, a student accommodation bookings site based in London and Lisbon has raised over £700,000 of seed funding led by Octopus Investments and two influential angel investors.

Student accommodation website Uniplaces was able to raise more than GBP 700,000 in seed funds. Octopus Investments led the round. Zoopla Property Group Founder and Chief Executive Officer Alex Chesterman and Graze.com Chairman William Reeve also participated in the round.
